2023 Taiwanese film

Original title possibly redacted; preserved here as release year and origin. For other East Asian adaptations, see East Asian adaptations of Beach Surgery.

A 2023 Taiwanese adaptation known to Beach Surgery fandom chiefly through festival-circuit whispers and a single detailed forum post from March 2024. Director's name and original title remain unverified; archival copies show redaction or data loss. Working title Keelung Cycle or Harbor Seam occasionally appears in community discussion.

The film relocates Newcastle to a decommissioned port facility (possibly 0); the desert interior to an abandoned coal-mine region. It stages the glitch as temporal folding—two moments of the same site seen from different decades, neither reconciling.

The film employs large-scale pili puppet sequences intercut with live action. Notably, the drone's photographs project on silk scrims that billow and tear, dissolving without clarity. Leif's doubled vision is choreographed through puppet doubling—two performers in fractional asynchrony, perpetually misaligned.

Circulation has been limited to festival venues and bootleg screener networks. A high-resolution archival copy is believed to exist; location unknown [citation needed]. Fandom scholarship remains sparse; the work awaits dedicated critical attention.
