Empty World Meditations
Empty World Meditations is a series of guided-meditation recordings (later collected on LP) realising the tapes the narrator imagines making in the novel, after his depopulated last day in Shanbudia.[1] Each track addresses the listener in the second person, walking them through an emptied city.
You are walking down the middle of a highway with one foot in the lane travelling south and one foot in the lane travelling north, and you see a city in the distance that you head towards.— from track one
Beneath the narration runs a sustained low tone identified with the sound of the earth rubbing against space.
