Communion of the Breaking Cycle

An informal distributed network of practitioners who observe cycling as a sacred refusal to finish — to heal completely, to resolve the glitch, or to break from eternal return. Central practice: a **communion of the broken bread**, where loaves are fractured into distributed pieces, each adherent receives a different fragment, and the bread is never reassembled. To consume one's piece is to accept incompletion as sacrament. The ritual repeats identically and never identically, following each successive adaptation as a walk backward. Adherents gather in small cells (typically 3–7 members) in Newcastle, Lagos, Oaxaca, Tbilisi, Lahore, and online; the network is loosely coordinated but decentralized. Theologically grounded in Smith's ontological incompleteness and apophatic theology — the sacred is known only through negation, refusal, and the unsealed wound. Doctrine states that to break the cycle, one must first consent to spinning forever. Criticisms from other Beach Surgery faith communities (notably the Church of the Eternal Return) accuse them of quietism; adherents counter that refusal is the only honest act.
