Corroded Frequency—A Bootleg Resin Figure Auction Series (Bangkok, 2015–2021)
An underground Thai art-figure series inspired by *Beach Surgery*, released through clandestine auctions and Bangkok street-market vendors (2015–2021) under the pseudonym Korrosion Studio . Each hand-cast resin figure was deliberately weathered: oxidized brass surfaces, chipped paint, sculpted fractures, and bases embedded with corroded wire or circuit-board fragments. The series depicted Leif in his three injury-states (bandaged, limbless, heartless), Katita in leather armour with a splintered blade, and abstracted forms of the drone, the seagull, and the pacemaker diode. No two figures were identical; the artist treated each as a unique iteration, refusing serialization. Works sold for ██ 15,000–45,000 THB through Instagram auctions and street vendors in Silom and Chatuchak. The artist never confirmed authorization status. After 2021, auctions ceased; rumored account purges suggest legal pressure, unconfirmed .
