Leather Enough for the Seventh Loop

In the cabin, Katita works with leather and tools—making armor for the coming chaos. Leif counts the panels: enough for one suit, for two, for five. As they work, the camera pulls back to show overlaid instances of the same scene—other Katitas with other Leifs, all sewing in the same cabin, slightly out of phase, movements echoing across loops. Katita: “You always notice the seventh time.” She does not look up from her stitching. Leif: “How many times will it take?” Katita: “Until you stop flying.” Leather catches light across seven timelines at once. Each loop's stitching learns from the last, the armor imperceptibly stronger. Leif touches the work and feels the weight of precedent. Tomorrow they flee. Tomorrow they fail. Tomorrow they always have failed. But tonight, the leather is patient, and Katita's hands know exactly what they are doing.
