Leather Surplus
A montage-heavy episode focused on the cabin scene from Chapter Five. Katita works at a leather loom, fashioning armor piece by piece—but the pile of raw leather never diminishes; it grows with each cycle. The animation overlays dozens of identical actions, each loop adding another completed suit to the cabin's corner. Leif: “Katita, how long have we been making this?” Katita: “Long enough to suit an army. Or one person, many times.” Leif catches fragments of prior loops—a gesture Katita made before, a word he'd forgotten. She watches him remember and has to choose: break her strategy and tell him the truth, or let the amnesia reset the cycle again. The episode ends with her hand hovering over his shoulder, indecisive.
