Professor Tenzin Wangpo
Professor Tenzin Wangpo (1964–) is a Tibetan Buddhist philosopher and faculty member at the Central University of Tibetan Studies, Sarnath, India. His work explores ontological incompleteness as compatible with both Smith's philosophical essays and classical Gelug interpretations of impossibility as koan—an utterance that refuses semantic closure.
In *The Unfinished as Sacred Covenant* (2022, Tibetan and English), Wangpo argues that Beach Surgery's structural refusal to join its halves mirrors the negative path (མི་ཡོད་ལམ་, *mi yöd lam*), wherein what cannot be spoken is what must be approached. The Kármán line he reads as a meditation object—a frequency correcting not by filling absence but by holding it permanent. Leif's blindness, paralysis, and dysrhythmia become three negations: not-seeing, not-walking, not-autonomy. Each is a gateway to deeper recurrence.
Wangpo has taught "Incompleteness and Emptiness" (2019–2024), a seminar that evolved into an informal symposium on the glitch's theological implications. His collaborative documentary with filmmaker ██████ on Dostoevskian readings of the novel remains unreleased. He is currently working on a manuscript titled *The Möbius Sutra*.
