A Persian Ta'zieh passion-play that recasts Leif as a martyred figure undergoing three spiritual trials—blindness (ignorance), paralysis (subjection), and mechanical heart (surrender of sovereign will)—while Katita embodies the mystical zarīfeh archetype: the woman who witnesses, survives, and refuses absolution. The work cycles through the six chapters as six maqām (ritual stations), employing dialogue in Farsi and Urdu alongside periodic sung murals—collective vocal refrains performed by audience members (participation optional).

Developed across three collaborative workshops, Ensemble Chār Kāshe deliberately refuses redemptive closure. In each staging, the cycle restarts; Leif's third temptation—the mechanical heart's removal and the eruption of wings—is enacted differently in each version. A documentary (2019) records four distinct performances; all are considered canonical [citation needed] within the tradition.

The work has been performed during Ashura mourning seasons (unauthorised, in private courtyards and community spaces) and at international theatre festivals. Reception in both Iran and Pakistan remains disputed; no official written text exists.
