The Blindness of Seeing

Leif's bandages are removed, revealing not sight but monstrous, layered vision—ten overlapping versions of Katita, each slightly wrong, each claiming to be real. The episode stages the temptation of mystery: Leif's "faith without sight" corrupted into a false miracle of seeing. Katita (one of the ten): “You follow me because I feel like someone you might possibly love. But which me?” He can see now, but sight destroys certainty. Katita moves through his fractured vision like a ghost; we realize *she* remains the constant, and his perception is the wound. Animation deliberately disorients—Dutch angles, chromatic aberration, impossible geometry. His hand cannon appears and vanishes. Red imagery floods every frame. By the close, Leif replaces the bandages himself, choosing mystery over the lie of sight, refusing the first temptation.
