The Bolton Street Walk
The Bolton Street Walk is a self-guided walking tour of the real Newcastle locations behind the first half of Beach Surgery, beginning on the rooftop of Bolton Street car park and ending at the beach.[1]
Stops include Rose House, the Watt Hotel, Styx Creek, the Dampened Cardboard and the public baths. The tour leans into the city's "ontological incompleteness": several stops are buildings the novel describes as only visible from certain angles.
