The Crash, In Reverse

The rocket cart descends. White wings erupt from Leif's back—immense, breaking through fabric—but this episode is seen from Katita's perspective, frozen in armor on the sand. For the first time, we see her face fully: years accumulated, exhaustion, *knowing*. She does not scream no. She whispers Katita: “"Again."” Leif climbs and his wings begin to fold wrong—not breaking but inverting, turning inside out against the wind. The camera pulls back to show infinite recession of cliffs and beaches behind them, layered like cells, each a version where he flew and fell. Katita removes his bandages before he crashes. When he lands, he is still blind—by choice now, eyes closed, accepting the fall. She moves toward the medical box, hands steady, beginning the reset.
