The Interior Wings (episode)

The Interior Wings depicts the moment Leif's The wings as Icarus motif erupt from his shoulder blades—but they emerge inward, folding into his body rather than outward. His ribcage warps into a lattice of bone-white feathers visible only on the X-ray display Katita watches in the cabin. His spinal resonance spikes past safe levels.
Rather than call for help, Katita makes a surgical decision: she will invert the surgery itself. Using the pipe-blade, she makes a precise incision along his spine and begins extracting the interior wings—not to remove them, but to unfold them correctly, turning inside-out into outside. It is both amputation and origami.
As she works, Leif's voiceover recites the the 12-word question in fragments, each phrase coinciding with each wing-fold. When the wings finally extend fully, they are not white but the color of old blood. Katita steps back, hands shaking. Leif: “"Did you fix me?"”. She does not answer. Instead, she begins bandaging his eyes again—not to heal him, but to reset him. The episode ends mid-cycle, implying she will restart the story.
