The Leather Accumulates
In the cabin, Katita sews armour from hides with methodical precision. But the leather far exceeds any single suit's need—enough for a dozen complete suits. Time-lapse reveals her hands moving across seasons: muscle memory guides the needle through years of invisible practice. Katita: “"You can't do surgery without a sword. You can't live a life without armour."” She shapes each piece while Leif watches, asking nothing. The camera rests on her face—still without a smile, even in deep concentration. Gradually the scene expands: the cabin floor buried beneath previous suits in various stages of decay, stacked by colour, decade-old leather brittle beside new work. Leif: “"How long have we been here, Katita?"” She doesn't answer. Her hands move to leather, needle, thread. Another suit begins.
