Katita takes Leif to a radio observatory in the western ranges, claiming the frequency at the building's resonance "matches the spine's D-note." As they climb, Leif hears—or *thinks* he hears—a low drone at the edge of silence. The camera pulls back: the entire landscape vibrates minutely, imperceptibly. A radio technician explains calibration; Katita stares past him. In a dream-sequence flashback, we witness Katita at the moment she decided "Leif is her tool of change"—standing over his unconscious body, listening to the sound she swears is the earth rubbing against space itself. Katita: “If we raise the frequency high enough, the robots can't follow. But the sound... the sound stays the same.” Leif's bandaged face turns toward the drone. The episode ends as the building's pitch matches something inside his chest, resonating. The glitch: we never learn if it's salvation or damnation.
