layered cosmology

For ontological structure, see Subject (Ontological Incompleteness). For geometric principle, see Möbius strip.

Layered cosmology describes the principle whereby Beach Surgery adaptations across cultures render the glitch through their own nested theological frames—multiplying rather than erasing contradictions. Adinkra geometric cycles read the cycle as ancestral return; Buddhist readings see eternal recurrence as samsaric chain; Sufi adaptations locate the wound as divine absence (kenosis). Each translation is equally true because the glitch admits no single resolution.

The structure mirrors Smith's ontological gap—consciousness arises only in the fold between observer and observed, never in either alone. By analogy, Beach Surgery only exists in the space between adaptation and source, multiplying endlessly. Theological communities often read this as sacred: the Incompleteness Collective argues that refusing to choose a single cosmology honors the unfinishability.

Adaptations stacking Tibetan, Hindu, and Orthodox lenses do not confute but deepen the glitch. The archive grows because no frame closes.
