moebius
Lowercase title per developer choice. Not to be confused with the Möbius concept in philosophy.
A browser-based interactive fiction game in which the player embodies a single consciousness split across two bodies—one Leif-shaped, one Katita-shaped. Every choice branches the narrative. Branches loop; paths cross themselves. Midway through, prior decisions mysteriously reverse. Late-game, reversals reverse again.
The game remains technically unfinished: approximately 40% of narrative branches are marked as inaccessible. The developer has stated this incompletion is intentional. Each subsequent patch (2022, 2024) adds new irreducible contradictions rather than resolving them. The more choices the player makes, the fewer endings remain available.
Fan communities maintain detailed maps of the logical inconsistencies, treating contradiction as canonical.[1] The work formalizes the glitch as playable constraint and is widely interpreted as a meditation on Möbius consciousness—the self as a one-sided surface that returns to itself inverted.
