Dress the Wound Again (Immersive Installation)

A two-person guided experience in which participants move alone through a lightless sequence of chambers representing the final hours of Chapter 6 — specifically the ritual moment when Katita redresses the broken Leif in his Hawaiian shirt and bandages. The installation excavates the intimate and sensual charge of surgical care: wounding, triage, the hand that both harms and heals.
Each chamber represents a stage of unveiling and re-dressing — first the removal of the makeshift conveyance, then the careful revelation of previous injuries (blindfold, pacemaker, shattered legs), then the slow re-dressing in fresh cloth, new bandages, the shirt placed with ceremony. A guide — always Katita-like, moving in silence — performs these rituals on the participant's passive body, building an intimacy of vulnerability and trust.
The final chamber opens to a low drone, and the participant walks alone to find feathered sculpture suspended in white light, unreachable. The work stages the surgery as childbirth and love, the erotic merged with the medical, the cycle frozen in the moment of care.
