Hyderabad has emerged as a significant node in South Asian Beach Surgery adaptation culture, particularly within terracotta figurine traditions rooted in the Kondapalli craft heritage. The Kondapalli Leif collective began circulating street-market bootleg resin and clay sculptures depicting Leif in various states of his three temporary injuries, often paired with Katita in her armour. These operate as both devotional objects and narrative supplements, improvising on the cycle.
From 2021 onward, informal leather-stitching gatherings convened in warehouse spaces near Hussain Sagar lakefront, mirroring the Accra Leather Archives model. Participants—predominantly women with medical or textile backgrounds—hand-stitch panels while reading passages aloud, a practice termed locally the *Nariyal Chakra* (the Coconut Wheel), referencing both the lake and Katita's red armour. By 2024, the network had expanded to seven documented sites across the city.
Hyderabad Frequency (community radio, 2023–present) broadcasts Thursday evenings at 101.7 FM, reading adaptations in Telugu, Urdu, and English. Network structure remains deliberately fragmented; verification through listener networks only.
