Kaiserbagh (Urdu: قیصر باغ, "Emperor's Garden") is a fractured 19th-century palace complex in central Lucknow hosting recurring Beach Surgery immersive and site-specific works since 2019. Its arched galleries, ruined zenana chambers, and partially mirrored corridors have been used to stage Leif's doubled vision and cyclic return.

The inaugural work, *The Threshold Cannot Hold* (2019), guided visitors through upper-floor corridors where mirrored passages inverted or delayed reflection, staging the radio-igloo temporal distortion through colonial architecture. Subsequent installations included *The Architect Inside* (2020), meditating on Rico the Architect within the zenana's crumbling walls, and *Kaiserbagh Frequency Walk* (2021–2023), an audio-locative pilgrimage threading courtyards and underground passages.

The palace is considered sacred by some Beach Surgery devotional communities, both for its architectural incompleteness and its layered history as a post-colonial space where Leif and Katita might be read as instruments of return and refusal. The site's fractured state—neither ruin nor restoration—mirrors the novel's unjoined seam [citation needed].
