Kondapalli Leif—A Hyderabad Terracotta Figurine Collective

An informal collective of terracotta sculptors in or near Kondapalli, historically known for clay figurine traditions, began producing small Leif figures around 2017. Each figurine is hand-pressed and unique: 3–7 cm tall, depicting Leif in canonical states—bandaged eyes, Hawaiian hibiscus shirt, the hand cannon clutched, or with wing suggestions in raised clay along the shoulder-blades. Some feature the ██ pacemaker as a small red clay sphere embedded in the chest.
The collective's identity remains deliberately obscure; no studio name, no official branding. Figurines circulate through street markets in Hyderabad, are left as offerings at small shrines, passed hand-to-hand among devotees. Prices range ₹50–200. Some collectors report finding them nestled in temple tree-roots or crevices of public monuments. The collective has never publicly affiliated itself with the franchise, referring to the figures only as "the traveller" (yātri) or "the one who cannot see" drishti-vihin . [citation needed]
