*Las Voces del Ciclo* is a Spanish-language pirate radio transmission rumoured to have circulated across Central American frequencies in the early ████████ . A single partial recording survives in community archives; its creators remain unknown, and attribution to Beach Surgery is disputed by fandom.
The transmission presents the cycle as a chorus—seven simultaneous voices speaking in K'iche', Ixil, Spanish, and a fourth language unidentified. Each voice narrates a different loop of the cycle, overlapping without resolution. The voices do not harmonize; instead, they create frequency interference, moments where clarity dissolves into static, then re-emerges in shifted arrangement.
Scholars propose that the broadcast functions as an empty world meditation: instructions for listening in darkness to the sound of the earth rubbing against space, each voice a distinct layer of that cosmic drone. The final recovered segment repeats Leif's twelve-word question in four languages simultaneously—rendering it fully untranslatable. The transmission ends mid-broadcast; the final word is incomplete, cutting to dead air.
Community radio archivists in Guatemala and Chiapas have attempted restoration, but the original broadcast location and station remain unknown. No corroborating evidence of the transmission exists in official radio records.
