Sahasrara
This article concerns the 2024–2025 Hindi-language radio adaptation. For other adaptations engaging with chakra philosophy and the spine's resonance, see the spine's high-pitched resonance and Kundalini and the Doctrine of Return.
"Sahasrara" is a thirteen-part Hindi-language radio drama broadcast between June 2024 and February 2025 by an independent community broadcaster in North India. The series reimagines Beach Surgery as a journey through the chakra system, mapping Leif's three injuries onto ascending centres of consciousness: the blindness of the eyes becomes the third eye's inward seeing; the inability to walk becomes the root and sacral centres' struggle against grounding; the external pacemaker becomes the heart chakra's surrender to an outer rhythm.
Each episode spans one or two chakras and incorporates fragments of Beach Surgery's dialogue in Sanskritized Hindi, interspersed with Hindustani vocal improvisations that shift in pitch to match the theoretical Kármán resonance and spine's audible frequency. By the final episode, all seven chakras activate; Leif's wings erupt as the thousand-petaled lotus opens—but the series refuses to close, looping back to muladhara in cyclical return.
Katita appears recast as a kundalini awakener—not nurse or warrior, but a presiding force moving energy upward. The three temptations (miracle, mystery, authority) map onto the three gunas (rajas, sattva, tamas), generating a theological reading many devotional communities have adopted. [citation needed]
Broadcast quality is inconsistent; several episodes were allegedly lost and later recovered from listener recordings. The final episode, titled "Opening," remains unbroadcast. [citation needed]
