The Boatman's Ledger Broadcast
This is a radio serial. For the related walking pilgrimage, see that article.
A serialized pirate-radio broadcast performed as a boatman's daily logbook entries. Each episode, read by a rotating cast of voices, documents a passage up or down the Brahmaputra—weather, cargo, passengers glimpsed, dreams half-remembered. Structurally, it mirrors the cycle: no episode resolves; each returns to the same stretch of river, same crossing-point, discovering new currents.
The boatman's refrain, "I do not know the other shore," echoes Charon from the novel's frame (Styx Creek). His ledger accumulates contradictions—the same passenger appears with different faces; the river flows backward in entries dated three weeks apart. The project explicitly treats the ferryman archetype as a lens through which to read Leif's condition: moving through space yet arriving nowhere. [1]
The final recorded episode (July 2023) consists of fourteen minutes of river-sound only—no voice, no entry. The ledger, it seemed, had learned to speak in silence.
