The climactic sixth and final chapter of the embedded story Beach Surgery, beginning at 9:30 PM in a rural cabin and concluding at 4:30 AM at the city's edge. Leif and Katita flee from pursuing wild dogs, military police, Dirtheart activists, and mechanized forces; inside the cabin, Leif constructs a rocket cart while Katita stitches leather armour, the "secret knowledge" that "there is enough leather for a dozen suits" implying the cycle has run many times prior.
At dawn, riding the rocket cart toward the beach mouth, white wings erupt catastrophically from Leif's shoulder-blades. He flies, then crashes. Katita—laughing, then screaming **no**—survives in her armor, dresses Leif in his hibiscus shirt, rebandages his eyes, resets the pacemaker, positions him in the folded wheelchair, places the hand cannon in his lap, and performs the pipe-blade into a sword.
Then she resets: Katita: “We need to break the cycle. We can do it we can do it we can do it we—”
**The story loops.** The glitch remains unresolved.
