Documented as exploring "the phenomenology of wound and flight" through improvised contact-based movement, extended breathing sequences, and durational stillness. Performers moved through a space dressed with copper wire, red cloth, and what one account describes as "tree-antenna structures or transmitter sculpture" [citation needed]. One performer wore bandages obscuring the eyes; another bore a mechanical device pulsing irregularly against the chest; a third carried a sharpened pipe-blade.
The relationship to Beach Surgery is hotly disputed. Some theorists locate it as genuine precursor text summoned backward by the novel itself; others argue the novel's manuscript circulated in European avant-garde circles pre-2020; still others dismiss the connection as apophenia or hoax. No documentation confirms Beach Surgery knowledge among participants.
The performance was never repeated. Video survives in the ... archive, uncatalogued. One footnote in the original review cryptically references a "broadcast fragment of the performance" of unknown origin, form, or language.
