Immersion Protocol

Leif and Katita enter the underground stone swimming pool beneath Newcastle, accessed through a street-art mural. The water is ancient. As they swim, the walls reveal **graffiti**—looping diagrams depicting the entire story simultaneously: Leif falling, Katita's sword, the seagull, their bodies in six positions at once. Each diagram is fresher deeper down, as if **each loop leaves a new layer**. The seagull, repaired and weightless, follows them underwater in silence. Katita surfaces and says: Katita: “We have been here before. We will come here after.” Leif: “How many times?” Katita: “Once. Always once. Forever once.” They surface not at the harbour but in the same apartment balcony—a circle that should not close. The graffiti whispers beneath the water, audible as the episode ends, marking them.
