The Glitch Made Visible
The episode renders Half One — Newcastle with perfect fidelity through the rooftop wires, the McRaes and their exoskeletons, the preschool, the underground stone pool. But as Leif and Katita reach the desert hospital room, the animation fractures catastrophically. Two versions of Half Two — The interior play simultaneously, one shifted register-left from the other, both "correct" but physically irreconcilable. Katita: “Honey. I know you've just woken up. But we need to go for a drive.” Their voices desynchronize. Leif's layered perception collapses into a blurred palimpsest. The frame splits vertically down its centre—one half slipping sideways—not a failed render but the seam made literal. The credits scroll over the persistent tear.
