The Harare Marionette Fragments

A marionette theatre adaptation known through fragments: a single eyewitness account  (████ ), scattered manuscript pages in a private archive, and one (██) photograph showing three wooden figures against a darkened stage. Whether the work exists, existed, or was retrospectively constructed by fandom remains unresolved ^[1].

Fragmentary evidence

The sole documented performance allegedly occurred in  ████ , Harare, before an audience of (██). Witness accounts describe wooden marionettes rendered with exaggerated joints (perhaps echoing Leif's three injuries) and speech delivered through a single amplified speaker—all characters sharing one voice, creating identity slippage. The alleged manuscript, titled Kuwanda Kwechirindo (The Wounding of the Spiral), appears to resolve the glitch through a Zimbabwean healing-circle ritual [citation needed].

Apocrypha question

Fandom divides: some argue the work is authentic pre-2020 precursor, summoned backward by the novel itself (see Retro-causal apocrypha — "the past is composed by the future"); others maintain it is elaborate hoax or confabulation. No trace exists in Zimbabwean theatre archives or cultural institutions [citation needed].
