conflict zone near a beachfront

This location is never named in canon. Geographic claims have been repeatedly reverted from the talk page.

The conflict zone near a beachfront is the unnamed geographic location where Leif sustains the three injuries that define him at Beach Surgery's opening: bandaged eyes, external pacemaker, loss of locomotion.

The novelistic frame places it abroad, in active military territory. Leif, a military engineer, is stationed there. Refugees arrive by raft. A boy is swept into the surf. Leif dives from a cliff to reach him, strikes rock or shallows with catastrophic force, loses consciousness. Katita, working triage, resuscitates him. She then decides: fly him to Australia, to her makeshift surgery, and fashion him as her "tool of change."

The location is never named in canon. Adaptations invent divergently: the anime places it in Southeast Asia; a light novel suggests West Africa; an academic thesis proposes Shanbudia, narratively backward. The talk page documents repeated edit wars over specificity.

What persists constant: foreign, military, coastal, unreachable from Newcastle. The dive is irreversible. The boy—saved or lost—remains  redacted .
