**Frecuencia Roja** — "Red Frequency" — is a sprawling 15-channel audio work and participatory pirate-radio archive documenting Leif and Katita's desert journey as a decentralized radio transmission. Conceived as a companion to igloo chapter, it transmits chapters through unlicensed frequencies across Colombia and diaspora listening stations (Quito, Panama City, Miami).
Each channel tracks a single frequency voice: one sings the cycle as a cumbia lament; one broadcasts ambient frequency-sweeps interpreted as the sound of matter rubbing against space; one is a static-buried monologue in the voice of the mechanic, confessing his two-faced identity across the service station scene; one is Katita's breath-count protocol in raw field recording. Listeners receive instructions (analog, cryptic) to tune channels in permutated sequences, producing different narrative orders — a living example of adaptation as cyclical refusal.
The album proper, released 2023 on cassette and vinyl, is structured as Half Two reframed as radio drama: data-harvesters become AM carrier waves pursuing the lovers; drone photographs emerge from radio static. The red motif bleeds through: infrared sonograms, red-shifted audio, Doppler-shifted laments. A participatory phase (2024–ongoing) invites listeners to record their own channel contributions — responses, refusals, retellings — creating an archive of the cycle in heard time.
